1.1 Cheapa-Blinds are committed to respecting the privacy of its customers. The following policy discusses how personal information received by Cheapa-Blinds will be dealt with.
1.2 Although not required by law to comply with its' provisions, Cheapa-Blinds by its' professionalism and commitment to its customers operate within the boundaries of the Privacy Act 1988 (also sometimes referred to as the Privacy Principles Act or the Personal Information Privacy Principles Act) in dealing with its' customers.

For the purposes of this declaration, personal information means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database and whether or not recorded in a material form) about an individual whose identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained from the information or opinion.
For the purpose of this declaration, Company means Cheapa-Blinds Pty Ltd
2.1 Orders can only be accepted by customers who have registered with Cheapa-Blinds online and who have a registered customer email and password.
2.2 Placing an order with Cheapa-Blinds is as simple as logging in, selecting your products, filling out the order form and paying for your order by one of the prescribed payment methods.
2.3 Once you have completed the order process, you will receive an email confirming your order details and payment details. You will be able to track your order at any point online by logging onto the Cheapa-Blinds website and viewing your Order History online.
2.4 By placing an order and providing payment, you are agreeing to enter into a Contract of Sale. You are also agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions as identified on the Cheapa-Blinds website.
2.5 Cheapa-Blinds reserve the right to refuse service, terminate an order, remove or edit website content at their discretion.
2.6 Your order stands confirmed ONLY when you receive notification from Cheapa-Blinds confirming payment has been received.
3.1 Orders can only be accepted and paid for by persons over the legal age of 18 years. Persons under the age of 18 years are referred to as 'minors'. By placing an order with Cheapa-Blinds you are acknowledging that you are not a minor and are over the age of 18 years.
3.2 Cheapa-Blinds shall, in the event that an order is placed using a false declaration of a minor/s, have the right to recover any loss, financial or otherwise caused due to a transaction by a minor/s. The legal guardians or parents of the minor/s who place an order with Cheapa-Blinds undertake the responsibility of any loss, financial or otherwise caused by such a transaction/s to Cheapa-Blinds.
4.1 Cheapa-Blinds accept payment via Visa Card, Master Card and Bank to Bank deposits. No other forms of payment are accepted.
4.2 Payment processing will begin as soon as Cheapa-Blinds have received all relevant order information.
4.3 The processing of payment for orders placed on a weekend or public holiday will commence on the next business day.
4.4 Credit card payment will only be accepted once you have confirmed you agree to the Terms and Conditions of sale, you acknowledge you are over 18 years of age and you are an authorised person to use the Credit Card for which details have been provided for the purpose of the order.
4.5 Upon clearance of all details, Cheapa-Blinds will email you a tax invoice which is to be used for proof of purchase.
5.1 Cheapa-Blinds estimate delivery of Ready Made blinds within 5-7 business days, Outdoor Blinds 10-12 business days, and 15-20 business days for Custom Made blinds. These timeframes commence when full payment has been receipted against the order. The estimated time of delivery excludes weekends and public holidays.
5.2 Whilst every effort is made to deliver within the estimated delivery times, sometimes this is out of our control (e.g. peak delivery times). Cheapa-Blinds will not be liable to the customer for any losses suffered or incurred due to a delay. If an order has not been received within the estimated timeframe indicated, please contact the Cheapa-Blinds Help Desk.
5.3 Orders will be delivered to the “Ship To” address as it appears on the Tax Invoice. In the event that the address cannot be located, the customer will be notified by email. Cheapa-Blinds wish to advise that courier companies WILL NOT CALL PRIOR TO DELIVERY to confirm delivery times for your order despite Cheapa-Blinds requesting this service on your behalf.
5.4 Upon delivery to the nominated address, the goods must be signed for. The person who signs for the delivery shall be deemed by Cheapa-Blinds to be authorised to receive the goods. In the event a signature cannot be obtained, a card will be left with details of how to collect the order. The order will be held by the delivery service for their maximum hold time only.
5.5 All deliveries require a signature unless the customer has ticked the allocated area requesting/authorising for the order to be left without a signature. Cheapa-Blinds and the Courier Company shall not be held liable for goods delivered under these circumstances. The risk for the goods passes to the customer immediately upon delivery.
5.6 In the event the order is returned to the sender, re-delivery charges apply. Cheapa-Blinds reserve the right to hold onto the order until such times as this is paid in full. Freight charges paid for the original despatch are not refundable.
6.1 Order fulfilment is a fundamental part to the success of our business. Immediately an order has been submitted and payment verified it has entered the Order Management system.
6.2 Orders cannot be changed. If you wish to make an amendment to an order please follow the Terms and Conditions Clause 6.4 to Clause 6.4.5.
6.3 Cancellation of an Order comprising Samples and/or Ready Made Products cannot be made as they are despatched within twenty four (24) hours.
6.4 Amendments to an Order comprising Custom Made and/or resized Ready Made products must be made within twenty four (24) hours from the date the order was submitted. The steps are as follows:
6.4.1 Submit the electronic ‘Issue Form – Cancellation of Order’ located in the ‘My Account’ area on the website.
6.4.2 Request 'Store Credit' in the comments section provided on the Issue Form.
6.4.3 Await an email confirmation of the Order Cancellation and notification that a Store Credit has been applied to your account.
6.4.4 A new order can be placed with the amendments required and the credit amount applied to the new order at the Checkout Page.
6.4.5 An administration fee of $10.00 (incl. GST) applies and will be deducted from the Credit amount applied to the ‘My Credit’ area of your account.
6.5 Cancellation of an Order comprising Custom Made and/or resized Ready Made products must be made within twenty four (24) hours from the date the order was submitted. The steps are as follows:
6.5.1 Submit the electronic ‘Issue Form – Cancellation of Order’ located in the ‘My Account’ area on the website.
6.5.2 Request ‘Refund’ in the comments section provided on the Issue Form.
6.5.3 For cancellations an administration fee of $25.00 (incl. GST) applies and will be deducted from the refund when processed. Refunds can only be made via the original payment method.
7.1 Upon receipt of your order, please be sure to inspect cartons/boxes carefully and note any immediately observed damaged to the driver.
8.1 Incorrect, Damaged or Faulty Goods
8.1.1 It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect the Goods on arrival. Order discrepancies and product damage resulting from delivery is to be reported via the electronic Issue Form within seven (7) days (including weekends and public holidays) from the date of delivery.
8.1.2 To lodge a claim, the customer is required to submit the electronic Issue Form provided in the ‘My Account’ area of the website. Clear photographic evidence will be required for verification of the issue.
Important: If photographic evidence submitted with the Issue Form is insufficient to define the problem, the claim will be rejected.
8.1.3 The customer must not carry out any remedial work to alleged defective Goods without first obtaining the written consent to do so.
8.1.4 Upon verification of the claim, immediate arrangements will be made for the shipment/return of the item/s at no cost to the customer.
8.1.5 If the electronic Issue Form together with the photographic evidence is not received within seven (7) days of delivery, the Goods will be deemed to have been accepted by the customer in good order and condition.
8.2 Incorrect Window Measurements Provided by the Customer:
8.2.1 Window measurements are strictly the customer’s responsibility; refer to Clause 20.3 of the Terms and Conditions. Submitting an electronic Order through the website constitutes your agreement to the Terms and Conditions and warrants all information provided by you as complete, true and accurate.
8.2.2 Custom Made and Cut to Size products are customer specific. If you have measured incorrectly, they cannot be returned for an exchange or refund.
8.2.3 Products incorrectly measured by the customer cannot be returned for alterations, as this type of service is not available. Cheapa-Blinds is an eCommerce store, specialising in selling ‘new’ window furnishings nationally. The logistics required for handling alterations is a completely different structure.

8.4 Incorrect Colour Choice
8.4.1 The product information and photographs contained within the website are for illustrative purposes only.
8.4.2 As most products are Custom Made or Cut to Size, and cannot be returned, it is highly recommended a colour sample is purchased prior to making a final product purchase (the cost of which is refunded against your final blind/curtain order). Cheapa-Blinds will not be responsible for colour choices made based on web images only. Refer to Clause 15 of the Terms and Conditions.
9.1 When the Measuring Guides provided on the website are followed, we guarantee your product will fit perfectly! It is important you review your order for accuracy prior to submission.
9.2 If the manufacturer has made a mistake on your order, the product will be remade and despatched as a matter of priority. Please refer to Clause 8 of the Terms and Conditions.
9.3 If you have made a mistake with your order please refer to Clause 8 of the Terms and Conditions.
10.1 In the event that a refund is required, after investigation of a return by Cheapa-Blinds, any refund will be issued through the same payment medium in which your original purchase was made to Cheapa-Blinds.
10.2 Authorisation for any refund cannot occur until such times as the product has been returned to and received by Cheapa-Blinds along with a completed issue form located in 'My Account'.
10.3 No refunds are permitted in the event that the customer is simply unhappy with their purchase or has changed their mind.
11.1 Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a federal tax introduced by the Australian Government. Unless otherwise mentioned on a quote, product listing or any other documentation issued by Cheapa-Blinds, all prices quoted are inclusive of GST.
12.1 All prices listed on the Cheapa-Blinds website, in quotes, invoices or any other documentation issued by Cheapa-Blinds are in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.
13.1 Cheapa-Blinds have incorporated what they believe to be the safest online payment medium for their customers. Despite these best efforts, in the event that sensitive Credit Card information of a customer has been compromised, Cheapa-Blinds shall not be held responsible for any damages, consequential losses, direct or indirectly suffered by the customer. Such events can include but are not limited to computer hacking of personal computers, internet redirection of keystrokes or other incidents that are beyond the control of Cheapa-Blinds or the use of an individual's credit card by an unauthorised person.
14.1 Cheapa-Blinds do not hold an exporters licence. As such the extent of any sale is confined to the political boundaries of Australia. Therefore, no customer shipment or order can or will be undertaken from an offshore individual or entity.
15.1 Cheapa-Blinds engage the services of professional photographers, web design specialists and product manufacturers to ensure the best display of all products, colouring, accessories and instructions are as accurate as possible. The accuracy in colour of all products displayed online is subject to the colour settings on your individual monitor. As such Cheapa-Blinds cannot guarantee that your monitors display will give you a true representation of product colours.
16.1 Cheapa-Blinds make every reasonable effort to ensure the colours shown on the Cheapa-Blinds website accurately match the products sold by Cheapa-Blinds. However, there may be some differences in actual colour due to differences in computer systems and colour monitors. Some textures may not be clearly visible. Natural products like wood and bamboo have a natural character and may have subtle colour and grain pattern differences. For the most likely accurate colour match, Cheapa-Blinds request that you order samples.
16.2 In addition, it is recommended that you order ALL your blinds of a given colour at the same time as there can be minor variations between dye lots.
17.1 Return of product under warranty must be arranged by the customer. All costs associated with the return of the product must in the first instance be borne by the customer until such times as Cheapa-Blinds can assess the case. If deemed a reasonable warranty claim, Cheapa-Blinds will replace or repair the product and return by courier to the original customer.
17.2 The warranty period begins from the date the order was placed.
17.3 For manufacturer warranties and in some instances manufacturer's extended warranties, please refer to individual product pages.
18.1 From time to time a product or fabric may be discontinued to make way for a new product or in the event the mill no longer produces the colour or pattern. Cheapa-Blinds make every effort to keep products up to date on their website however, in the case that a product becomes discontinued; this is beyond the control of Cheapa-Blinds. Should an order be placed for a product that is discontinued, a Cheapa-Blinds Customer Service representative will contact you immediately and an alternative product may be selected or a refund for that particular product ordered given.
19.1 In the event that an order from a supplier is delayed, or in the event that Cheapa-Blinds may be experiencing a busier than usual period, or in the rare event that a product is placed on back order, Cheapa-Blinds will notify the customer within 24 hours with a new estimated time of delivery.
20.1 Cheapa-Blinds shall not be liable for any loss of income, profits, contracts, data or for any indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever arising, and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise resulting from purchases made through Cheapa-Blinds.
20.2 In the event of a refund, the maximum amount for which Cheapa-Blinds undertakes liability shall under no circumstances exceed the amount paid by the customer for the product including postage and handling.
20.3 Cheapa-Blinds shall not accept liability for:
21.1 Cheapa-Blinds pride themselves on being leaders in not only product but also on their levels of customer service. This includes the information provided to customers on product selections and purchases. Whilst endeavouring to provide accurate and up to date information, in rare instances, typographical errors and inaccuracies may occur. Cheapa-Blinds reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information or pictures at any time without prior notice (including after you have placed your order). Possible changes may include but are not limited to product type, price, photographic depiction and availability.
22.1 All Contracts of Sale entered into are between the customer and Cheapa-Blinds. No rights and or obligations whether in part or in whole can be assigned to a third party without the express written permission of Cheapa-Blinds. Any third party transfer without the written permission of Cheapa-Blinds shall be deemed to be null and void.
22.2 In the event that a competent authority holds part of the Terms and Conditions as laid down on this website or those deemed to form part of the Contract of Sale to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or part, the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
22.3 Under the Trades Practices Act 1974 ("ACT") where implied conditions and warranties cannot be excluded, any liability on Cheapa-Blinds for breach of such conditions and warranties (other than a condition or warranty implied by section 69 of the Act) shall be limited at the option of Cheapa-Blinds to the replacement of the product/s or the re-supply of the same product/s; the payment of costs for replacing the product/s or of providing equivalent product/s. Governing disputes are covered under the state law of business registration which in the case of Cheapa-Blinds is the state of Queensland in the Commonwealth of Australia.
23.1 The Australian owned website of Cheapa-Blinds or any portion of the Cheapa-Blinds website may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, plagiarised or otherwise exploited for any commercial purposes that is not expressly permitted by Cheapa-Blinds, Diablo-Group Pty Ltd or Blinds Australia.com.au Pty Ltd.
23.2 Cheapa-Blinds reserve the right to refuse service and/or cancel orders at its discretion including, without limitation, if Cheapa-Blinds believes that customer conduct violates applicable law or is harmful to the interests of Cheapa-Blinds.
