For a modern alternative to vertical blinds, panel glides are unique in design, functionality and are perfect for large window areas including sliding doors or bi-folding windows. While they are similar to vertical blinds in functionality the design offers a completely different style of decor.
Panel glides consist of an aluminium tracking system combined with a row of fabric panels that overlap to prevent light from entering the room. They are operated using the wand control on the leading panel allowing them to be pulled across the frame open and closed. Unlike vertical blinds they do not rotate due to their large panels, they only go from side to side.
Easy to install, practical and won’t take away any of the features of your sliding doors or large windows- panel glide blinds really are the perfect solution for furnishing large windows. Due to their unobtrusive appearance they will also match with other types of blinds if you have multiple windows in the one room. If you already have wooden blinds or shutters on a window within the room they will be complemented by choosing a natural looking fabric for your panel glides such as rattan.
Interior designers have also started using these blinds as room dividers to section off certain parts of a room, home or office. This is a much more affordable option than building a permanent room divider and also looks fantastic!
