Roller Blinds

Roller blinds protect the home from outside elements which means they can also be a magnet for dust and dirt. Read through these easy to follow steps which will guarantee cleaning your roller blinds is an uncomplicated and satisfying task.

Things you’ll need:

Step 1:

Make sure the blind you are cleaning is fully extended. Or if you would prefer, detach the blind and place it on a clean, flat surface. In order to do this, turn the wheel at the pin end anticlockwise which will allow the spring loaded pin to retract.

Step 2:

Vacuum the blind gently with the hand held vacuum or, if using a normal vacuum, make sure you use the brush-ended nozzle attachment so as not to damage your blind.

Step 3:

Gently run your feather duster or clean cloth over the blind to pick up any leftover dust. If your blind is light in colour, make sure you use a light coloured cloth so no dark lint or colour rubs off onto your blind.

You’re Done!

Now your blind is clean and beautiful. If you detached your blind, you can now reattach. For best results, repeat these steps weekly and your blinds will stay good as new all year long!

Spot Cleaning

Small marks may develop on fabric which can include hand marks, or smaller spots such as grease or insect remains.

Spot cleaning is an internal industry method that has fantastic results. To remove the smaller spot marks from fabrics, use a common “Pencil Rubber” and rub gently until all spots are removed.
